It sucked!

A US Marshall sent to a government island facility for the criminally insane to investigate the disappearance of a prisoner made for a great 2min trailer. But a 138min flick left much to be desired.

90 minutes into this two and a half hour ride the people sitting to my right just got up and left……

I’m writing just to let them know (if they happen to read this) they didn’t miss a thing, in fact I should have followed their lead. It was like watching a bad Alfred Hitchcock film. At every plot twist I found myself perking up a bit and saying to myself; “ok, here we go”...but the excitement of this new development in the story was short lived and minutes later, I was bored again.

I will end my short rant with this; the opening scene in which Leo’s character and his partner arrive on the island and are met by the deputy warden of the prison along with a number of armed guards who all “seem, a lil on edge” makes much more sense when walking out of the theater.
